Anode Effects Dragon Drive Pedal V2 Details

The Dragon is a popular choice for guitar players who want a realistic amp-like distortion without compressing the signal too much. It features LED clipping overdrive and a passive 3-band EQ that can go from a warm boost to bluesy grit to a distortion just on the edge of fuzz. The LED clipping diodes create less compression in the signal gain, allowing picking dynamics to remain present through the clipping. The diodes are mounted externally, so you can see exactly how much of the signal is being clipped and how much of a difference pick attack makes on the overdrive tone. The LEDs flicker when you pick lightly and light up brighter and more solid as you pick harder. As the drive knob is turned up, the LEDs will get brighter when the guitar signal is being clipped.

The Dragon comprises three LEDs that make up its flame: the blue LED is the power indicator and the start of the flame, while the yellow and red LEDs complete the flame and flicker when clipping a guitar signal. The 3-band EQ is similar to the kind found in many classic tube amps, with a small mid-scoop and versatile controls. The Dragon is also suitable for bass and is made using high-quality components such as Grva knobs, Alpha footswitches, top-mounted Lumberg Jacks, and includes a lifetime warranty. Additionally, it uses audio-grade components like 1% metal film resistors, Silver Mica and NOS Japanese ceramic capacitors, and a USA-made PCB.
