BTA16 is a 16A TRIAC that is commonly used to switch AC loads. It can be found in AC motor Speed control, Light dimmers, Fan regulators and other applications where AC current is involved. It normally requires a driver circuit to be used along with a microcontroller. The specifications of theBTA16 TRIACare given below
